Integrated acoustic modules for perfect acoustic design
Effective absorber modules are installed in the walls, ceiling and – if required – even in the floor. Careful adjustment results in clear, balanced sound with optimal reverberation time. Computer calculations ensure that the modules are particularly space-saving, so that they are especially effective with a small installation depth.
The room shape and room proportions are likewise specifically designed and adjusted. In conjunction with acoustic diffusers, this improves the sound distribution and controls the duration and direction of reflections.
Transparent modules are another special feature. Although transparency is often desired for the sake of visual contact and natural lighting, it is usually problematic acoustically. Transparent sound-absorbing films (see photos above) eliminate interference from sound reflections while guaranteeing the same high level of soundproofing (also available as accessories for retrofitting).
For booths with floor areas of up to approximately 10 m² there are preadjusted acoustic design types.
Acoustic design types
Acoustic modules:
Mid-/high-frequency absorbers on angled walls and ceilings
Sound impression:
Strongly damped to dry
Frequency response:
Slight low-frequency boost, depending upon the room size and proportions (see diagram)
Areas of application:
Practicing and teaching voice and acoustic instruments with high requirements; for recordings, presentations and testing
Acoustic modules:
Sound-absorbing floors, and broadband acoustic absorbers specifically positioned and adjusted in angled walls and ceilings with the aid of computer calculations
Sound impression:
Dry (see upper curve) or very dry (lower curve)
Frequency response:
Very balanced relationship between high and low frequencies (see diagram)
Areas of application:
Recording and playback with the highest quality requirements; for professional audio productions, broadcasting and professional musicians
For some purposes, both acoustic design types may come into consideration. We will be glad to assist you in making a selection.
Individually planned acoustic design
For booths and customized audio design, the acoustic modules are individually adjusted.
This is necessary because requirements for the design and quality of room acoustics for control, recording and rehearsal rooms differ from those for interview booths, showrooms and audio acoustic laboratories.
However, the procedure is largely the same: From your ideas concerning utilization and sound, or from our recommendations, we prepare a concept. We then select suitable measures, and realize the acoustic design as planned.
Planning is based on computer calculations, our experience with the acoustics of small and medium-sized spaces (up to approximately 40 m²), and our in-depth knowledge of acoustics.
If required, essential parameters of the room acoustics (reverberation time, EDT, RT60, frequency response, etc.) can be measured – also in conjunction with the equipment on hand.

A combination with add-on modules from the audio box concept also makes variable acoustic environments possible.
